Responsibilities
The Weather Risk Solutions Manager will run all business and technical related
issues involving the weather derivatives software product and weather data.
The main functions of this position are business development and sales,
client services and product and business partner management. The position
is ideal for an ambitious person with excellent multi-tasking skills who
wants to gain experience in a new and growing financial market (weather
derivatives). This position will require an individual who enjoys a start-up
type atmosphere but with the comfort of working within a larger, established
company. There will be significant potential for professional growth in
this opportunity.
Qualifications
The Weather Risk Solutions Manager will be relatively autonomous and must
be able to effectively prioritize among numerous competing business issues.
We required a BA/BS in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or Meteorology
and a minimum of 3 years relevant business management and/or software product
management experience. This position requires proven written and verbal
communication skills, excellent time management and the ability to manage
remote teams. The ideal candidate will be an advanced user of Microsoft
Office Suite. We will give preference to candidates with familiarity with
the financial markets. Familiarity with weather data or meteorology is desirable.
Experience with SQL and Java would be beneficial.
