Immediate Full-Time Forecast Meteorologist, Weather Works LLC


Weather Works LLC, a private weather consulting firm is seeking a Forecast Meteorologist. The main responsibility for the accepted applicant will be operational weather forecasting for various geographical areas and clients. Other job responsibilities will include winter storm analysis and summaries, data collection and telephone consultation. Applicants must be willing to relocate to within driving distance of Hackettstown, NJ. Work shifts will be required. Qualifications:
• BS degree in Meteorology (expected or conferred)
• Forecasting experience in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic along with demonstrating good skills in understanding Numerical Models and METARS and the preparation of a weather forecast.
• Recent experience a plus, but not required.
• Good telephone and writing communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Power Point.
A plus for experience in programming languages and I/T work.
• Ability to work and make decisions both independently as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and quickly prioritize work tasks.
