Operational Broadcast Meteorologist -- Weather Eye Radio Network

 

Weather Eye Radio Network, located in St. Paul, Minnesota, is seeking highly motivated meteorologists to join its team. We are currently accepting résumés for potential openings in early 2008. Weather Eye Radio Network is a private forecasting firm that specializes in customized radio broadcasts, severe weather coverage, and utility and web forecasting. For over 15 years, Weather Eye has been a leader in forecasting across the country, with a focus of excellence in the Plains and Midwest. We have enjoyed persistent growth over recent years and we look forward to exploring additional exciting opportunities in the future.

 

Job Summary
Responsibilities of qualified candidates include: live and recorded radio broadcasts, severe weather coverage, as well as forecasting for our utility and media clients. This position will include weekend and occasional overtime work. Weather Eye Radio Network offers a competitive compensation package including: paid vacation time, health insurance with a health savings plan, and an employer matching retirement plan. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.

 

Qualifications
B.S. degree in meteorology, atmospheric sciences or equivalent
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Highest regard for customer service
Highly motivated, passionate, well organized, with strong decision making skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows

 

Highly desired but not required
Programming experience
Prior broadcasting and forecast experience
