Senior Operational/Forensic Meteorologist -- Fleetweather Group


 

The Fleetweather Group is seeking a senior-level meteorologist to join its growing team of weather professionals. Duties will include preparing and disseminating forecasts to a variety of weather-sensitive clients located worldwide, as well as preparing highly detailed forensic weather studies geared toward clients involved in litigation where weather played a factor. Qualified candidates may also be involved with live and taped radio broadcasting. Experience with marine forecasting a plus.


Only experienced, degreed meteorologists will be considered for this position. Candidates should possess a minimum of four years experience in operational and/or forensic meteorology. Superior customer service skills are a must, along with ability to make decisions and act both independently and in a team setting.

The job location is in the scenic Hudson River Valley of Southeastern New York. The Fleetweather Group offers competitive benefits including health insurance, paid vacation time, profit-sharing and a 401k retirement plan. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
