VACANCY FOR JUNIOR WEATHER FORECASTER (Ref JWF-004)FUGRO GEOS (www.geos.com) is part of the Fugro Group (www.fugro.com) and is one of the world's leading companies specialising in oceanographic and meteorological measurement, assessment and consultancy.We are continuing to expand our worldwide marine weather forecasting operations and we have a vacancy for a JUNIOR WEATHER FORECASTER at our new purpose built office in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, UK. Candidates must have a Degree in meteorology or a Degree in mathematics, physics or geography plus an M.Sc. or Diploma in applied meteorology and a professionally recognized forecasting qualification, e.g. UKMO IFC/FFC, RNAS Diploma, BOM Diploma, etc. Salary is commensurate with experience and skills and includes an allowance for working shifts, weekends and during public holidays. Fugro GEOS have contracts with a wide range of clients, in particular the major oil and gas companies, and staff must be prepared to work at offshore locations when required. Initial training on our proprietary software will be provided.
