The work will consist in the assimilation of vertical ozone profiles in a model coupling a chemistry transport model with a numerical weather prediction model for the study of tropospheric ozone behaviour. Your profile: Master or PhD in Physics or Mathematics or civil Engineering. Knowledge of Fortran and/or C programming. Experience with Unix or Linux OS. Knowledge of atmospheric processes and their modelling or numeric weather prediction is an advantage. You can prepare written and oral presentations of your scientific work. Job content: The time series of vertical ozone profiles of Uccle will be assimilated in a coupled CTM-NWP model. This will allow studies properties of different atmospheric processes and their effects on air quality.
