Air Quality Research Project Manager

(Full-time Term Position)

We are seeking an Air Quality Project Manager who will be responsible for data collection and evaluation, data input and modelling of selected air pollutants as one of the studies being done to identify emission contributors requiring future management in the Prince George airshed. The Air Quality Research Project Manager will be responsible for the preparation of an emission inventory, a modelling report and a breakdown of pollutant contributions based on the modelling and other source identification studies. This position will be for an initial term of one year, with an extension to a second year depending on performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Minimum of a bachelor's degree from a recognized university in one of the natural science areas of geography, chemistry, physics, or applied areas such as engineering, atmospheric science, or environmental science with courses in meteorology, air pollution chemistry, and mathematical modelling; Preferred: Graduate degree from a recognized university in environmental science, environmental engineering, atmospheric chemistry or meteorology.

Experience: For applicants with a bachelor's degree, a minimum of two to four years experience in meteorology and pollutant modelling. Applicants with a graduate degree and less experience will be considered. Relevant experience in a Canadian context will be an asset.

Salary:
$45,000 to $55,000 per year plus an extensive benefits package.
