Research Centre, Climate Forecasting Group (Ref: 10223) A detailed job description including selection criteria can be found at http://www.bom.gov.au/careers/ Duties - Contribute to studies directed at gaining an understanding of the potential of Probable Maximum Precipitation (PMP) to change under a changing climate. Based on historical data, investigate whether possible trends in observations may already have led to changes in PMP estimates. Using climate model output, assess how projected climate change may affect estimates of PMP. Elegibility - A degree or diploma of an Australian institution, or a comparable overseas qualification, which is appropriate to the duties; OR other comparable qualifications, which are appropriate to the duties.
