WNI Weathernews UK Ltd is looking to recruit suitably qualified and
motivated personnel to work/train as weather forecasters for permanent
positions within our busy operations office in Aberdeen, Scotland**.
Initially the post would be on our Media forecast bench producing a
variety of television and public service weather forecasts with gradual
progression into marine forecasting for the offshore oil and gas
industry. Minimum education requirements are a BSc in Meteorology or Physics (2:1 or above) or an MSc in Applied Meteorology. Alternatively a professional qualification from a National Weather Bureau/Service (IFC/AFC from the UK Met Office) would be acceptable. Successful candidates would be expected to come to Aberdeen, Scotland for a 3 month familiarisation and training period in our forecast office followed by 3 to 6 month tours in Japan.
