The are two posts available at Oxford University for postdoctoral researchers in tropical forest carbon and vegetation dynamics.

One is a 4 year postdoctoral fellowship concentrating on field research on carbon allocation and dynamics at a number of sites across the Amazon and Andes, in Brazil, Bolivia and Peru. It is funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, and also involves a number of positions the University of Leeds that will soon be advertised. The second post is a 2 year postdoctoral in vegetation modelling, focusing on modifying ecosystem dynamic vegetation models to apply them to tropical montane cloud forests in the Andes, and validating against field data. This is funded by Microsoft Research and has a possibility of further extension after two years depending on the success of the initial two-year period. For both posts the closing dates for applications in 17 March. We will hope to interview in early April and hope to appoint as soon as possible thereafter
