January poEMS will be hosted by the Department of Geosciences on Friday, Jan. 30 from 2-3 p.m. in 541 Deike Building. EMS "THON" Blood Drive: Tuesday, January 20th in the EMS Museum from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Appointments are encouraged. An EMS Casino Night will be held on February 13, 2004 at the Nittany Lion Inn, starting at 7:00 p.m. Join the fun! Richard Thompson has won an Outstanding Staff Award from the College of EMS. Congratulations Dick! EMS Student Council has already raised almost $3000 to support THON, and they are hoping to make their first year in THON a memorable one. Undergrads who have had internships in various branches of meteo will give brief presentations. Topics include: working at a TV station, interning at NASA Goddard, the NCAR Undergraduate Leadership Workshop, the BAMEX Field Experiment, and the REU Program in Alaska. Food will be served!
