Geological Institute has announced it's "theme"
for Earth Science Week (Oct. 9-15) and new national contests for

Announces Change to Fall 2005 Semester Calendar.
Beginning fall semester 2005, the first day of classes (August 30)
will follow a TUESDAY class schedule. But, the Tuesday before the
Thanksgiving holiday (November 22) will follow a FRIDAY class schedule.

Altoona
Curve Game Outing: PSUBAMS officers are planning a department
outing to an Altoona Curve game on Thursday, September 1 (7:05 p.m.)
and Zack Byko (zmb102@psu.edu)
is still trying to estimate the number of tickets needed. Please
email him as soon as possible if you would like to attend so he
can order seats. Tickets will be approx. $5-7 depending on where
the seats are purchased and if you are a PSUBAMS member. You will
need to tell him in the email how many seats you need.
