The Weather Channel is seeking a summer intern in Live Programming. This is a unique opportunity to learn, observe, and participate in the many facets that make up our live production. This is an excellent hands-on, learning experience for someone interested in a career in journalism, production, or media.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The summer intern will rotate through various departments within The Weather Channels Live Programming team, including the following:
- Show production
- Weather presentation
- Assignment desk
The intern will assist in newsgathering, assist in show production, conduct show research, build graphics, and screen, edit, and log video.
Education, Experience, Certification Requirements
- Undergrads - Enrolled in an undergrad program at an accredited college or university. 18 years or older and current sophomore standing, no more than a graduating senior by the start of the summer session
- Must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 days per week either on a part-time or full-time basis
- Must be US Citizen or on F1 visa
