Job description

Do you want to be a part of the transformation to a world that understands and manages risk effectively? Do you want to work directly with the companies leading the way in the use of climate and catastrophe risk models, data, and technology? Do you want to launch a varied, interesting, and relevant career in the team delivering the wide-ranging services that enable effective catastrophe risk management? Then you want to join the Customer Success team as part of the Moody’s RMS Graduate Program 2023.

The team you will join:

The Customer Success team at Moody’s RMS exists to ensure our clients get great value from their investments in our catastrophe models, data, platform, applications, and services.

  • We run the programs, create the content, and provide the services that enable their organizations to make full use of our products – all through a multi-disciplined, global team of outstanding people.
  • Together, we offer clients the skills, knowledge, and expertise they need to implement and run complex catastrophe risk management products and practices in a way that brings meaningful insight.
  • We are a team of people who enjoy succeeding through our differences in skills and background, while taking pride in what we all share: a passion for helping customers, technical/scientific aptitude, and a great work ethic focused on action and impact.

Our team comprises four core functions, each serving our expanding global client base.

  • Our model specialists ensure our clients make knowledgeable, effective, and efficient use of our constantly evolving climate and catastrophe models and data.
  • Our software specialists ensure they leverage our Intelligent Risk platform and associated products skillfully as part of efficient workflows and overcome any technical challenges along the way.
  • Our client success managers partner with core client teams and personnel to plan strategically and drive long-term success.
  • And our consultants deliver a wide range of analytical, advisory, and technology services and solutions that optimize client workflows, facilitate risk transfer, and find new ways of making use of our models and data for emerging risks and use cases.

The Graduate Program and your career:

As one of our graduate analysts you are central to our future, and we provide a program that equips you with the breadth and depth of education and experience to have a successful career.

  • You’ll join an international cohort of Moody’s RMS graduates on 4th September 2023.
  • You’ll start with a 4-week training program where you’ll learn from our wide network of leading developers, scientists, product managers, and customer success practitioners.
  • You will then enter the company rotation program, giving you direct experience working across a range of teams, developing skills you’ll use throughout your career, and building an invaluable network of colleagues and clients.

While on rotation, you’ll be supported by your host team and a dedicated mentor. Your focus will vary across each of your rotations, but every rotation will increase your knowledge of our products, the companies who use them, and the industries managing catastrophe risk.

  • You’ll play an active role in delivering our services, content, and programs, working directly with clients and internally across multiple teams.
  • Your work will span our products and the markets we serve. You’ll develop technical knowledge, enhance your problem[1]solving skills, and cultivate the communication skills required to advise clients with confidence.
  • Example rotations include providing model and software support, building bespoke tools and applications, joining account teams to engage as strategic client advisors, assessment of business best practices, and developing training content and user documentation.

After completing rotations in up to five teams, you’ll move into your first permanent role in January 2025. Most of our graduates hold this first role for 2-3 years, after which we’ll support you in growing your career in a direction that matches your ambitions. Our team today has more employees who joined us as graduates than by other routes. We have experienced analysts, leads, principals, directors, and vice-presidents all who started off with us as graduates and have brought their skills to numerous role and teams over time.

The qualities you need to succeed:

Our graduates all demonstrate exceptional potential to thrive in an environment which demands strong teamwork, technical aptitude, and dedication to our clients and their needs. As a Customer Success graduate, you:

  • Put others first. You are motivated by the desire to help other people succeed.
  • Enjoy solving problems. You relish the challenge of solving analytical and technical problems with and for other people.
  • Are driven to achieve great outcomes. You prioritize what is of greatest impact and understand when a job is done.
  • Are a strong communicator. You communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and in presentations.
  • Make the complex simple. You articulate technical or scientific concepts clearly to varied audiences.
  • Love to learn. You demonstrate a constant desire and broad capacity to learn new skills and concepts.
  • Want to play your part. You have an interest in the role of science and technology in understanding and managing the natural and man-made risks facing society.

Required Qualifications:
