Responsibilities
- To work with the physics teams across NOAA PSL, GSL, and EMC to set up and run global forecast experiments using the NOAA UFS and analyze processes associated with clouds/radiation and their interaction.
- Propose improvements in process interaction to mitigate model forecast biases.
- To lead and contribute to the publication of research results in the peer-reviewed literature.
Required
- PhD in Atmospheric Sciences or relevant field.
- Proven experience with weather prediction model physics development and high-performance computing.
- Demonstrated experience with standard meteorological observational and model data sets and analysis techniques.
