Job description

Forensic Meteorologist

Job description
Company: National Weather Forecasting, LLC
Location: Teterboro, N.J. (but you work out of your home office or your current employer's office)
Description: Forensic Meteorologist…BE YOU OWN BOSS!

Unique opportunity. You can work out of your main office at your existing weather job or on your own at your home office, whether you have a steady weather job or not. You can be located anywhere in the U.S. as long as you have no problem with an occasional trip to provide expert testimony. However, most of your work will be done via providing a written report for submission to the attorney/law firm. We are looking for a meteorologist with extensive forensic meteorological experience. If you enjoy analyzing previous weather events/weather data… this may be the perfect job for you…or “addition” to your existing job as our terms are flexible. You can be a forensic meteorologist who works on his or her own at your home office and/or someone who works for a weather company and would like to supplement their income by doing forensic reports either in conjunction with your associates at your weather company or on your own. You must have the ability to write well and utilize various computer programs to make your written reports/presentations look top notch as your data has to be extremely accurate.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide forensic weather reports for attorneys, insurance companies and anyone else in need of previous weather records for "constructing" what has happened in the past.  Prepare detailed expert reports and when necessary, appear in court for expert testimony to support your written report and be able to be cross examined. Most forensic reports help to usually settle out of court but the times that you are required by the attorney to “appear” you must be available to travel. Provide testimony at depositions and trials if needed.

Pay: List of 30 to 40 law firms available. We have provided services to these law firms for many years and these clients can be yours for a nominal fee. You buy the list and pay a small commission to us.
The end result is an increase in your forensic clientele.

Minimum Requirements to be Considered:
B.S. or M.S. in Meteorology (a Certified Consulting Meteorologist designation is a plus) Extensive experience in forensic meteorology required. For details on this offer,  email your cover letter/resume to: .
