Job Responsibilities:

  • Download and plot weather data, radar images, hurricane information and storm reports.
  • Analyze various Doppler radar products, surface observations, soundings, hurricane data and tornadoes to determine what weather conditions occurred at a specific time and location in the past.
  • Lead phone conferences with clients and prepare detailed written reports documenting your findings. -
  • Provide expert testimony at depositions and trials
  • Work in conjunction with engineers, adjusters, attorneys, law enforcement to support their needs.

Candidates Must Meet One or More of the Following Minimum Criteria:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Meteorology with a Minimum of 5-Years of Operational Experience
  2. Masters Degree in Meteorology
  3. Certified Consulting Meteorologist with Operational Experience
  • Must be knowledgeable in decoding and interpreting ASOS surface observations and Soundings.
  • Have a strong understanding of winter storms, severe thunderstorms, hurricanes & mesoscale processes
  • Must be very proficient in analyzing and interpreting GR Analyst, Doppler radar and Dual Pol images
  • Excellent Report-Writing and Communication Skills is a must -Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Experience with Coding, Linux/Unix, NCL, NetCDF, Python, GRIB2 is a plus.
