National Weather Forecasting, LLC, based in the Teterboro Airport area of northern N.J. …the leading local forecasting company in the NYC quad-state area (NJ, NY, CT, PA) is looking for an top notch meteorologist for “winter only” position part time, possibly full time position. The position will start with training of how we operate but we expect you do be well-versed in providing local clients with storm updates for any storm, especially snow and ice events. Our area of coverage hones in on the area from the northern Catskills in NY state southward through the Hudson Valley of NY, CT and NYC/LI area, New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.

Your main work will include daily forecasts sent to our clients but more importantly, you will make storm alerts/warnings for our clients. We will discuss types of clients after you send your cover letter/resume. The training in how we provide our service will begin September 1 so you are ready with your “knowledge” you already have by October 1 so you are ready for snow season. The position will be September 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018. If things work out, this may become a permanent position beyond March 31, 2018.

Looking for someone with experience with another weather company that you are used to dealing with providing this type of service explained above. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience. You will have the option to work from your home office which we will develop for you.
