You will manage the realtime operations needed to make this happen and provide clients with vital information during catastrophic events.

You will be responsible for monitoring real time product generation and delivery. This will require you to:

• Interpret weather maps

• Assess meteorological hazard and impact results in real time (including some weekends)

• Monitor our automated system of product delivery

• Answer client questions related to model results and product output.

For consideration, you should have:

• At least Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Earth Science, Physics or a similar quantitative field

• An interest in severe weather

• Understanding of statistical analysis

• A willingness to learn about risk modeling and to be adaptable to novel situations

• At least one year of experience with a Linux command line interface for scripting and running programs remotely

The ideal candidate will also have:

• Experience in risk modeling or tropical cyclone modeling

• An ability to use visualization and analysis software such as R or Python to generate statistical and geographic data and plots

• The skills to present the results to clients without technical jargon

• Knowledge of FORTRAN

• Familiarity with AWS tools
