Job description

Working field: The ideal candidate would be eager in pushing the envelope on urban research such as combining field observations with numerical modeling and committed to high quality teaching.

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed scientific university degree (diploma, master's degree, or equivalent) with a background in ecology, earth system sciences, biogeochemistry, physics or equivalent
  • Track record of strong interest in urbanization and its implications for the environment experience with field observations and/or lab measurements
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with comfort working with numbers/quantitative models fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Sufficient language proficiency to teach classes in both German and English is expected

Desirable knowledge:

  • Work experience programming experience
  • Knowledge of German (written and spoken) and other languages international experience
