This role will be based in Düsseldorf / Germany.

Our department "Market Analysis" is searching for a

Market Analyst - Meteorologist Nordic Area (m/f)

Responsibilities

  • Forming weather view for Nordic area
  • Presentation to energy traders and other stakeholders
  • Publication in internal information channels, e.g. Market report and Intranet
  • Share knowledge in the meteorological area through briefings and case studies
  • Close cooperation with market analysts in the hydrological area
  • Developing meteorological products and services for the Nordic traders
  • Developing and maintaining tools, methods, systems and applications
  • Meteorological information and data

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in meteorology
  • Experience in operational forecasting for at least 3-5 years, preferably from Sweden or Norway
  • Familiar with ensemble forecasts from ECMWF
  • Used to work with applied statistics and familiar with hydrology

General conditions:

Availability: January 2010
Work schedule: fulltime
