Job description
We would like to bring to your attention that the Aerosol and Radiation
Section at the Naval Research Laboratory in Monterey CA has postdoctoral
fellowship opportunities. We are seeking applicants who can perform
diverse basic and applied science research on aerosol operational
forecasting, meteorology, chemistry, microphysics and radiative transfer
and weather/climate impacts. We currently have a particular need for
postdoctoral researchers interested in overseas field research and/or
radiative transfer modeling.
The program focus areas are interdisciplinary and funded by agencies
such as ONR, NASA, JCSDA, and Navy basic research funds. Examples of
ongoing projects include global aerosol modeling and satellite data
assimilation, mesoscale aerosol and meteorology impact studies, biomass
burning and land-atmosphere interaction, and field research in Southeast
Asia.
Fellowships are provided under NRC and ASEE programs. US citizenship or
permanent residence (e.g, Green Card) is required. Interested parties
should contact Jeffrey Reid (jeffrey.reid@nrlmry.navy.mil) or Douglas
