Public Service

The Weather Communications Group serves the public by providing a variety of weather information through various mediums. The Weather World show provides Pennsylvanians with an accurate knowledge of  upcoming weather, climate data,  and various weather processes. The New York Times reaches over a million readers from around the world, and provides accurate weather information for a variety of cities. The State Climatologist Office allows organizations and individuals access to a vast database of climate data for virtually every city in Pennsylvania. 

In addition, the WCG works closely with students and teachers, both within and outside the department, in an effort to improve various forms of communication in the field of atmospheric science.
