College/Department Requirements

BASIC MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION

College

The following general requirements have been established for all students in the college who are candidates for the degree of Bachelor of Science. The specific requirements of the several majors are in addition to these.

1. COMMUNICATIONS: 9 credits
2. QUANTIFICATION: 6 credits
3. NATURAL SCIENCES: 9 credits
4. ARTS: 6 credits
5. HUMANITIES: 6 credits
6. SOCIAL AND BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES: 6 credits
7. HEALTH SCIENCES AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION: 4 credits

The following courses may be taken for credit, but such credits may not be used to satisfy college or departmental degree requirements:

CHEM 001 GN, 002 GN, 011;
MATH 001, 002, 004, 021 GQ, 022 GQ, 026 GQ, 040 GQ, 041 GQ, 087 GQ, and 088 GQ;
PHYS 001 GN, 150 GN, 151;
PH SC 007 and 011;
any technology course such as CE T, ME T, etc.

Exception: The Department of Geography now accepts MATH 021 GQ, 022 GQ, 026 GQ, 040 GQ, and 041 GQ as credits to satisfy departmental degree requirements.
