Water-Quality and Run-Off Model
Training Sessions
May 2005

Presented by
Professor Toby Carlson (Penn State),
Amy Haase and Dr. Deborah Slawson

Are your streams impaired? Do you have the tools to assess water-quality and
surface runoff in your watershed?

Learn how you can identify impaired streams and calculate surface runoff for design storms
within user-defined Pennsylvania and Chesapeake Bay watersheds. A one-day training session
will cover how to use newly developed web-based tools based on simple models and how to
interpret the results. Training sessions geared towards watershed specialists, resource
managers, developers, and members of the GIS community.
