    Research Interests: Convective storms, extratropical and tropical cyclones, mesoscale analysis and forecasting, numerical weather prediction.

    Teaching Interests: Synoptic meteorology, mesoscale analysis and forecasting.

    Dr. Fritsch works on understanding and predicting mesoscale convective complexes, flash floods, cold-air damming, warm-core cyclogenesis, lake-effect storms, and extratropical cyclogenesis.
