Teaching/Academic Interests: Synoptic and mesoscale meteorology, weather forecasting, weather communications (specifically methods of communicating different uncertainties involved in making forecasts).

Mr. Seman spends most of his time in the Department of Meteorology as an instructor for the John A. Dutton e-Education Institute, teaching courses within the program that confers a Certificate of Achievement in Weather Forecasting. He also works on projects for the Weather Communications Group, appearing as a forecaster on Weather World, forecasting occasionally for The New York Times, and working with other various aspects of television and video production.
