Research
Interests: Developing a sequence of online courses that
will lead to the conferring of a Certificate of Achievement in Weather
Forecasting. Meteorology
101:Understanding Weather Forecasting, a Web-only, general-education
course was nationally recognized in 2003 when it earned the Meritorious
Course Award from the University Continuing Education Association
(UCEA).
Teaching
Interests: Online courses in Synoptic, Tropical, Mesoscale
and also Advanced Topics in Weather Forecasting. In-residence courses
in Science Writing and Web design
Mr. Grenci's departmental responsibilities span widely from teaching
in-residence courses in Weather Communications to directing and
designing the online program in Weather Forecasting. He also serves
as an undergraduate advisor and supervisor for undergraduate and
graduate teaching assistants. He is a contributing editor for Weatherwise
Magazine.
