Two changes related to late registration

Both of these changes will be effective Fall semester 2005.

1) The late registration fee has been changed from $10.00 (ten) to $250.00 (two hundred fifty).

2) The definition of late registration has changed from the first day of classes to the first day of the late drop period.

Please be reminded of the condition that result in late registration. All students are provided a registration window that opens well in advance of the start of the semester and closes at the end of the regular drop/add period. Students who begin their registration during this window WILL NOT be assessed the late registration fee. Only those students who begin their registration after this window closes will be considered late registrants.

For the upcoming fall semester, the regular drop/add periods ends on September 8. Students who begin the registration process AFTER September 8 will be charged the $250 late registration fee.

The single exception to the above would be for a student registering for one or more courses that all begin later in the semester. In this case, late registration will be determined by the course with the earliest late drop start date.

Students are always be advised to register for their classes before the classes begin.
