How to Make a Gift

Before you make a gift:

• Be sure you are giving to Meteorology!

  Your gift will not make it to the Department of Meteorology unless you specifically indicate on the online form (or on the phone) that you want your gift to go to Meteorology.  In the online form, you need to choose Earth and Mineral Sciences from the drop down box and then enter Meteorology in the "Additional Information" area.  It might also be good to add "Give gift to Department of Meteorology" in the comments section of the form.  On the phone, be sure the person on the other end understands that you are designating your gift to "meteorology" and not "metallurgy."  This error is more common than what you might think!
  

• Be aware that you may designate your gift to an already existing meteorology scholarship or endowment.

  It's certainly not mandatory, but if you'd like to, you can!  View the list of meteorology scholarships and endowments.  As mentioned above, make sure you include "Meteorology" and the name of the scholarship or endowment in the "Additional Information" area of the online form.
