August 22, 2011 E-mail from President, Bill Lamberson

I hope everyone’s first day of classes wasn’t too stressful or overwhelming. Chi Epsilon Pi will be holding the Department’s Annual Picnic on Sunday, August 28, 2011 from 12 pm – 3 pm in Sunset Park (pavilion 1).

The picnic is a great opportunity to get to know department faculty as well as other graduate and undergraduate students.  We especially encourage new undergraduate and graduate students to attend. We will be grilling hot dogs and burgers and will also have chips, pasta/potato salad, and desserts.  We will also have a football and a Frisbee to toss around. Please feel free to bring your own personal sporting equipment such as a soccer ball or baseball glove.

Tickets are $3 per person.

For those of you who do not know where Sunset Park is, there will be a group meeting at Walker Building at 11:45 a.m. on Sunday to walk over to Sunset Park.

A representative from Chi Epsilon Pi will be in the weather station at select times on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week to collect your three dollars should you wish to attend. You may also pay when you arrive at the picnic. The schedule of this week's collection times is as follows.
