Four Penn State students awarded American Meteorological Society scholarships/fellowships

Corporations, federal agencies, and American Meteorological Society (AMS) members join together with the Society in supporting fellowships and scholarships for students pursuing an education in meteorology and atmospheric sciences at universities throughout the country.  The fellowships and scholarships help further the education of outstanding graduate and undergraduate students pursuing a career in the atmospheric and related oceanic or hydrologic sciences.  To date, the AMS, with the help of all the supporting agencies and organizations, has awarded fellowships and scholarships to over 600 students with the total dollars awarded reaching over $4 million.

The following Penn State Meteorology students have received graduate fellowships or undergraduate scholarships from the AMS:

Steven Curtis (AMS Undergraduate Scholarship - Sponsor: Saraswati (Sara Bahethi Scholarship)

William Lamberson (AMS Undergraduate Scholarship - Sponsor: Larry R. Johnson Memorial)

Katherine Lukens (AMS Undergraduate Scholarship - Sponsor:  Michael A. Roberts Jr. Endowed Scholarship)
