Undergraduate Job Opportunity

The greenhouse gas group at PSU is looking for an undergraduate research assistant

The greenhouse gas group in Penn State’s Department of Meteorology (University Park, PA) is looking for an undergraduate research assistant to aide in ongoing and upcoming field research projects.  The research investigates the impact of energy production/use over cities and from ongoing Marcellus Shale natural gas drilling on the chemical composition of the atmosphere.

The researcher must be available 5-10 hours per week, on a wage payroll basis. Responsibilities include website maintenance, shipment of equipment, and lab work (e.g., following instructions to replace pump diaphragms, construct rain shields, setup instrument calibrations). Prior hardware and/or website design experience helpful.

Ideal start date:

As soon as possible, to extend through the fall semester and likely beyond (contingent on funding and successful background check).
