Please note: Penn State does not require an SAT or ACT score if you have completed more than one semester of full-time college coursework after high school graduation.
High school transcripts and/or GED transcripts are not required to review a student's application.* These documents are required of all transfer students accepting offers of admission to Penn State. Final high school/GED transcripts must be received prior to a student's enrollment.
In order to be considered official, transcripts must be sent from the high school (or GED testing service) directly to Penn State.
Students who completed high school outside of the US are required to submit high school transcripts and/or GED transcripts as part of the application. Please review our international admissions requirements.
Some Penn State programs have additional requirements, in addition to the standard application requirements for admission. To review any additional requirements you may have, as well as any applicable deadlines, please review our transfer eligibility information.
Some groups of applicants have additional materials that are either required or recommended to send to Penn State for transfer admission.
In addition to the academic records required for submission, international students whose native language is not English must prove English language proficiency to be eligible for admission to Penn State. Review the requirements for international students to see how English proficiency can be met.
Military transcripts are NOT required as part of the evaluation for admission to Penn State. Students can send military transcripts in order for Penn State to evaluate work completed for possible transfer credit. Review our information about credit for military experience for more information.
