Matt Rogers (1994 B.S.)
Deputy Director of the MDA EarthSat Weather Group at MDA Federal,
Inc.
Mr. Rogers is Deputy Director of the MDA EarthSat Weather group at MDA Federal, Inc. (formerly Earth Satellite Corporation) which provides customized and standard services to approximately 320 energy companies in North America and Europe. Matt has been with MDA Federal, Inc. for thirteen years.
Matt holds significant experience in providing weather products and services to the various branches of the energy industry, including the natural gas, electricity, heating oil, and weather derivative sectors. He develops and manages services for the trading community, energy suppliers, energy planners, and energy purchasers. Mr. Rogers consults daily with energy clients throughout the energy industry from North America to Europe.
Mr. Rogers has been invited to speak to a number of energy conferences and individual corporations and routinely speaks to energy groups 15-20 times a year.
Mr. Rogers manages marketing, product development and research activities pertaining primarily, but not solely, to the energy industry. He has developed forecast products for natural gas storage injection and withdrawal estimations, for Western states’ electricity trading decision-support systems, for internal energy company weather analysts (weather modeling tools), and for various customized needs of over 100 energy companies.
Mr. Rogers received his B.S. degree in Meteorology from The Pennsylvania
State University in 1994 and received his MBA from George Mason University
in Northern Virginia with specialization in operational management and
strategy a few years later. Mr. Rogers has attended several energy conferences
and seminars.
