Below is the most recent Infrared Satellite Imagery for the United States.

Infrared Satellite photography displays images of cloud top temperatures. Generally, the higher the cloud top, the colder the temperature. Therefore, tall cumulonimbus clouds that can reach heights upwards of 40,000 feet are indicated by the darker blue colors, whereas, the warmer yellow and green tints are indicative of lower clouds. Also, ground and sea surface temperatures can be derived remotely using these satellites.
