The Pennsylvania
Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP), Bureau of Air Quality is
pleased to announce the position of Meteorological Intern for this upcoming
summer, the Summer of 2010. The meteorologists at the PA DEP
forecast for air quality, including ozone and fine particulates (PM-2.5), for
the entire Commonwealth in addition to support data analysis projects of air
quality related data gathered from monitoring locations throughout the

Meteorological
Intern
We are currently
seeking a student with standing in the field of meteorology. Forecasting
experience is highly recommended. No air quality experience is required
but is a plus. Qualified candidates should be working toward their
Bachelor of Science in meteorology and should have good general computer
application skills and experience using the various forecast computer
models. Strong written communication skills are highly recommended as
well.
This internship is a
paid internship with at least a $11 per hour rate. One thing to keep in
mind when filling out the application online... this position is based in
Dauphin County in the city of Harrisburg. So the appropriate Dauphin
County code should be filled in the "Enter the county codes you are willing to
work" section of the application.
Once you have
completed the application and finished the 6-step
