The sponsors are pleased to host this exciting and important conference free of charge (except for hotel accommodations). The conference will feature a poster session, plenary and concurrent sessions, keynote speakers, exhibits, receptions and many other opportunities to learn, network and exchange ideas.

The purposes of the conference are to:

Improve flash flood forecast and warning performance and public response through increased understanding and use of the current science and technology and the development of operational best practices and training and outreach materials.

Identify future needs for science research, new technologies, communication and education to improve flash flood performance and understanding.

The overall conference begins the evening of June 2 and concludes the afternoon of June 4. However, the conference is set up for two distinct target audiences, and each target audience has a different agenda: Scientific and Academic Participants (June 2-4); and Users and Public Participants (June 3-4). Click on “Agenda” at the left for more information about the target groups and to view and download appropriate agendas.

Electronic registration will be available beginning in early March and run through May 7. Please revisit this site in March to begin registering.

Please be advised that the reduced hotel room rates do expire prior to May 7. Click on the “Hotel and Lodging” link at the left for information on conference rates and deadlines. Please also be advised that there are other regional events taking place at the same time as this conference and our conference hotel and other local hotels will eventually be fully booked.
