Dr. George Young named 2014 AMS Fellow

Congratulatioins to Dr. George Young who has been elected 2014 American Meteorology Society Fellow.

Dr. Young is now the seventh AMS Fellow among Meteorology's active faculty members. 

Fellows Criteria:
Constitution Article III, Section 6: "Those eligible for election to Fellow shall have made outstanding contributions to the atmospheric or related oceanic or hydrologic sciences or their applications during a substantial period of years."

Nomination to Fellow is open to AMS members.

New Fellows are elected each year by the Council at its fall meeting from a slate submitted by the Fellows Committee of not more than two-tenths of 1 percent of all AMS Members.
