Research Interests

Mesoscale modeling, objective analysis techniques, cyclogenesis, four-dimensional data assimilation, boundary layer processes, shallow and deep convection.

Teaching Interests

Numerical weather prediction, frontal and mesoscale analysis, atmospheric dispersion.

Dr. Seaman has developed several different numerical models to investigate the dynamics of orographic flows, sea breezes, extratropical storm development, pollution transport, urban influences, and the interactions of boundary layer and convective processes.
